I made the decision to seek professional training shortly after I made the decision to start taking my body seriously. I realized I was finally at the point in my life that I was ready to put in the 7-10 hours a week in the gym I needed to. And if I was going to do that, I was going to get some guidance. And what a difference proper teaching had made.I’m an expert in my field. This not only drives me to seek experts to surround myself with, but also to appreciate them all the more. Tyler is an expert in his field. He could easily be grandiose about that. However, he is not. Tyler not only gives advice, he seeks it. And, he appreciates it. He synthesizes and integrates it. That’s the mark of a solid human being- Here to share wisdom, but also to accumulate it.Beyond that, Tyler has the ability to make me do things I would never think I could do. Sometimes he will tell me a rep range at a particular weight and I’ll tell him he’s on crack. But more often than not, I can do it. He challenges me in ways I would never challenge myself. However, these challenges are always based on expertise, not wishful thinking.I am an expert in my field. To the best of my ability I surround myself with experts. In the 6 years that we have been working out, we tried 4 other trainers at a different gym, but Tyler is by far the best. During the past two years working with him, we have grown to completely trust him, not only with our workout plans, but as a friend as well. I have been training with Tyler 10 months, and I cannot say enough good things about him. By knowing my strength and weaknesses better than I do, he has been able to keep me in shape and boost my self-confidence. Tyler places high value on correct form with each exercise by observing the workouts from different angels. It has been a blessing being trained by Tyler with his great flexible attitude. Today I have better balance and most importantly working out has become fun. He quietly discovered the beast in me that I never knew.

Tyler, before working with you, I don’t think I could’ve differentiated my bicep from my triceps. I’ve come a long way from that point so thank you. I feel like I have more energy now, I’m more conscious of my general health, and I’m exceedingly stronger than I’ve ever been. If you asked me to do what I’m doing now a few months ago I wouldn’t have thought it was possible. I know I cringe when you put more weight in my exercises, but thanks for not taking it too easy on me (don’t make me regret saying that..). I’m looking forward to learning even more from you and seeing what I can do.

I met Tyler a little over a year ago, back in my "sloppy days" as he would put it. Before my first training session with him I was given this big talk up about how awesome of a trainer he is and to top that, an even better person. That statement did not fail to hold up. When I first started I didn’t have much of a goal, just passion for weightlifting that I have lost touch with over the past years. I didn’t want to lose a bunch of weight, I wanted to lift it, and Tyler helped me do just that. I may not have reached my slightly unrealistic goal but with his help I tip toed right under it and will achieve it soon as we continue our journey together.
